ABSTRACT: Do you or someone you know work in an organization whose culture is ambivalent regarding using and implementing Agile in the current environment? Perhaps it’s doesn’t “fit” the way the company “works”. Perhaps its “too hard” to implement. Perhaps it is to “loose” and we really just don’t get the “sprint thing”. “Hey it sounds good, but I hear it’s really hard to get right”.

This presentation with examine common arguments against Agile (real or implied) or simply the lack of caring about methodology in general and discuss ways to thoughtfully introduce Agile so it makes sense and provides immediate value to the organization. We will cover methodology assessments as well as strategies for creating an Agile roadmap and then executing against that roadmap.
BIO: Kevin Israel has 16 years of experience in IT and is an IT Director at Bowlmor AMF whose responsibilities include oversight of Enterprise Architecture, Application Development and Quality Assurance. Kevin comes from a technical background and has been an advocate for Agile methodology for many years. He was awarded Most Valuable Professional by Microsoft in 2008 – 2012 for his expertise in Team Foundation Server, an Application Lifecycle Management tool built around developing applications using an agile methodology. He has delivered agile methodologies and process to many organizations over the years and loves sharing his experiences and helping fellow advocates find ways to introduce Agile to their organizations in a way that delivers value.
